Custom AVI provides complete soundbar installation services across Toronto and the GTA. We mount your soundbar perfectly levelled and centred to your TV, with all cables neatly hidden — so your setup looks as good as it sounds.
After mounting, we connect the soundbar to your TV via HDMI ARC or Optical cable and verify audio is working correctly. If your remotes are programmable, we configure them so you only need one controller.
For smart soundbars — Sonos Arc, Sonos Beam, Bose 700, Denon HEOS, Yamaha MusicCast and more — we also handle the full Wi-Fi or wired network connection, app install, and initial setup on your smartphone.
We carry universal soundbar brackets in our van at all times. Sonos and Bose proprietary mounts need to be ordered in advance — just let us know your model at booking and we’ll have everything ready.

How We Mount
Soundbar Installation Methods
Most soundbars are mountable — we choose the right approach based on your specific model, TV setup, and wall type. Here are the six methods we use, with real examples of our work.
Keyholes on the Back
Soundbars with keyhole slots mount directly to the wall using just screws and anchors — no special hardware needed. Alternatively we can mount via VESA holes on the TV using universal brackets.
Proprietary Brackets
Premium soundbars like Samsung and LG often include their own mounting brackets. Bose and Sonos use proprietary mounts sold separately — let us know at booking and we’ll have them ready for your appointment.
Universal Brackets
Universal brackets work with most soundbars that don’t require proprietary mounts. They’re essential for full-motion TV mounts and ceiling-mounted TVs — the soundbar swivels with the display. We carry these with us at all times.
Proprietary + Universal Combined
For full-motion or ceiling-mounted TVs, we combine the soundbar’s own proprietary brackets with universal brackets to attach it directly to the TV — so the soundbar rotates with the display when you swivel.
Ceiling-Mounted TV
When your TV is ceiling-mounted and there’s no nearby wall for the soundbar, universal brackets provide the only viable solution — attaching the soundbar below the TV so it rotates freely with it.
TV on a Stand
Even if your TV sits on a stand or pedestal, we can mount the soundbar using universal brackets attached via the TV’s VESA holes — especially useful for taller soundbars that would block the bottom of the screen.

Common questions about soundbar installation in Toronto and the GTA.
Can you mount any soundbar to a wall?
Most soundbars can be wall-mounted. Options include using keyhole slots on the back of the unit, the soundbar’s own proprietary brackets, or universal soundbar brackets via the TV’s VESA holes. If your soundbar can’t be directly wall-mounted, we can attach it to your TV instead — so it’s always possible to achieve a clean, floating look.
Do I need to buy brackets before the appointment?
No — we carry universal soundbar brackets in our van at all times. If your soundbar requires proprietary brackets (Bose or Sonos, for example), just let us know your model at the time of booking and we’ll order them in advance so everything is ready on the day.
Will the cables be hidden?
Yes. Cable concealment is always part of the installation. Cables can be run inside the wall for a completely clean finish, or managed on-wall using a paintable wire raceway — whichever is best for your wall type. We’ll discuss the options on-site before any work begins.
Can you install a soundbar on a full-motion or swivelling TV mount?
Yes — and this is a common request. For full-motion mounts the soundbar must attach directly to the TV (not the wall) so it swivels with the display. We use universal brackets, or a combination of proprietary and universal brackets, to achieve this cleanly and safely.
Can you fully set up a smart soundbar like Sonos Arc or Bose 700?
Absolutely. We offer complete smart soundbar setup — Wi-Fi or wired network connection, app installation and configuration on your smartphone, and initial device setup. We support Sonos Arc, Sonos Beam, Bose 700, Denon HEOS, Yamaha MusicCast, and all other major smart soundbar platforms.
HDMI ARC or Optical — which connection do you use?
We use HDMI ARC whenever possible — it provides the best audio quality and simplest remote control experience. If your TV doesn’t have an HDMI ARC port, we use Optical as the alternative. We always use the best available option for your specific TV and soundbar combination.
Do you install soundbars in condos and commercial spaces?
Yes. We work in single-family homes, condos, apartments, offices, boardrooms, lunchrooms, and other commercial spaces across Toronto and the GTA. Installations in commercial buildings or condos may include a small additional fee to account for building access and logistics.
